Capacity Building Session

Leveraging Curiosity and Change to Critically Re-examine Bias and Equity Issues in (Re)building Inclusive Systems

Presenters at this conference will challenge the attendees to critically examine workplace inequities, question the norms, provide strategies, and inspire all to take action for the creation of inclusive systems.

The nature of events has made our world shift on its axis with increased community mobilizations and movements while also revealing deeply entrenched inequities. Locally, our efforts to institutionalize diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) have increased exponentially with newly launched directorates, government actions and the formation of DEI positions and committees across sectors. It seems that there has never been a greater awareness of social justice issues. Yet, we are not where we want to be. Overt expressions of lack of acceptance of ‘difference’ are also increasing.

Join us at RDR’s annual conference (virtually) where our keynote speaker will chart our course by critically reflecting on past DEI challenges and strategies as well as defining our emerging issues.

The capacity building sessions will allow attendees to delve deeper into anchoring strategies for advancing DEI in the workplace.
