What is the RDR Portal?
The RDR Portal is an online hub for change makers in Peel Region and beyond to communicate, collaborate, and connect around diversity, equity and inclusion at the individual, community and organizational levels.

How do I register?

  1. Click “LOGIN/REGISTER” at the top right of the page.
  2. Click “Sign Up”.
  3. Enter your account details, and click “Complete Sign Up” when you are done.
  4. You will receive a confirmation email that your account has been created.
  5. The portal administrator will approve your account at which point you will be able to access the full functionality of the portal.

Who is eligible to register?

  • RDR MEMBERS – This group is for designated representatives of RDR member organizations. Up to 2 representatives from each organization can register. In the portal, users can stay up-to-date with meeting and membership logistics; dialogue about diversity, equity and inclusion in a safe space with peers; share information across organizations and sectors; and access member-only resources.
  • ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERS – This group is for organizational leaders participating in RDR’s Building DEI in Leadership program. The goal of this program is to build the capacity of organizational leaders in the non-profit sector to identify and address issues of DEI in their organizations. This program is being offered in five regions across Southern Ontario: Durham, Halton, Hamilton, Peel and Waterloo.
  • COMMUNITY AMBASSADORS This group is for community ambassadors participating in the Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Charter of Peel’s Community Leadership Program. This is an eight-month training that strengthens individual/community understandings of diversity, equity and inclusion and builds the capacity of community leaders to engage in grassroots change-making initiatives. This program is currently being offered in Peel Region only.

How do I log in?

  1. Click “LOGIN/REGISTER” at the top right of the page.
  2. Enter your login credentials, and click “Log In” when you are done.

How do I join groups?

  1. Log into the RDR Portal using your account details (Note: Only those who have been approved by the portal administrator will be able to request access to a group)
  2. Click “Groups” in the top menu. In the drop-down menu click ‘Overview’ to read the group descriptions
  3. Click “Request Membership” to the group you would like access to. This is located below each group description. 
  4. The portal administrator will approve your request at which point you will be able to access group content.

Note: If you are joining the Organizational Leaders Group, you must also request access to one of the five regional sub-groups (i.e., Durham, Halton, Hamilton, Peel, Waterloo).

My password isn’t working. What do I do?
Try resetting your password by clicking on the “LOGIN/REGISTER” button at the upper right-hand side of the page, and then click on the “LOST YOUR PASSWORD?” button. If you require further assistance please contact your portal administrator (see below).

Can I access the portal if I am not a member of the above groups?

In order to access the full functionality of the portal, you must be a member of one of the three main groups: RDR Members, Organizational Leaders, Community Ambassadors
